Haha I told her never to date someone in the military, that’s just how it goes: nothing is definite and you can’t worry if you aren’t even sure what to worry about. This is further confirmation that in this case(military relationships) no one understands unless they have been through it.
So I just got back from spending the longest weekend we have ever had in North Carolina. We had hiccups, we seem to always have them, but nevertheless I am glad I went. I am glad I have him and we are lucky enough to have time together. We did have a talk about me moving there and him getting a place off post and even getting married. I know our relationship isn’t perfect, I know we fight and things get tough, but honestly, what relationship is perfect? We are real people, we have emotions and we sometimes set each other off. That’s us. Even though I am only 20, I strongly believe he is the one for me. After more consideration, it might not be right for us right now. I have school and my life and he has to save money. Patience, I know we will get there.
Yesterday, obviously Veteran’s Day, my family tried to tell me that my boyfriend isn’t a Veteran. I flipped shit.

These are my Great-Grandparents, Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop. My Pop-Pop was a Coastie, and my Mom-Mom a stay at home mother. They managed to stay together through 2 wars, WWII and Korea, and take care of two children. Veteran’s Day always reminds me of all he’s done, and all the strong women like my Mom-Mom behind them. I love you Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop.

My honey has been unaccessible by phone for a few days, just meaning I can call him but he won’t answer because he can’t. Now he has no phone at all and there is no communication for two days. We hadn’t talked in a while until he woke me up and we chatted for a few minutes this morning at 3AM. Haha back to deployment communication. He is just training that’s what this is all for.

The days leading up can not go by quick enough and the days we are together can not go by slow enough.
We have been talking about me moving there a lot, I want to so bad but I can’t give up my opportunities here. He wants me to probably more, but he will never ask me or what me to give up what my life is in Chicago. Fuck you Army. Fuck you distance. Fuck this shit. I want Derek.
